Works​hop Introduction

童话创想  Binding Stories and Art

想亲手创作一本关于超级英雄拯救世界的绘本吗？或是关于水手冒险奇遇的插画书？又或是关于动物园中发生的幽默故事？在童话创想艺术工坊，每位营员都有创造自己的童话王国的机会！工坊通过对故事的创新构想，对人物性格的鲜活塑造，加以视觉艺术的丰富表达，探索日式装订、连环画等不同方式的绘本制作，让营员了解制作工艺，开拓想象力，提高动手能力，亲自完成这个属于自己的童话艺术作品！

Ever dreamed about writing an action-packed graphic novel about a superhero that saves the city from disastrous peril? What about an illustration book about the fantastical adventures of a sailor, or a funny comic story about a group of zoo animals? Pursue both the visual arts and writing in order to write an exciting, original story from scratch! In this workshop, students will explore how to combine both artistic and story-writing skills to create an illustrated book of their own. We will explore the various aspects of making a book- such as book cover design, drawing illustrations, designing page layouts, story writing, and binding the book itself- to create an epic collection of novels, created entirely by students!

深海奥秘  Deep Sea Mysteries

听说过恐怖的北海巨妖吗？还有神秘的尼斯湖水怪？或是美丽的女海妖塞壬？跟随深海奥秘艺术工坊的脚步，沉浸在古代神话中海洋神兽的世界吧！在这里，营员将从美国奇幻小说作家的作品中寻找灵感，借鉴欧洲民俗等传奇故事，激发塑造神秘的深海生物形象的创造力。学习原创形象设计和色彩搭配，并通过粘土雕塑工艺，将平面设计中的形象还原制作成一个3D彩色的雕塑艺术作品。

Ever heard of the terrifying Kraken, the mysterious Loch Ness Monster, or the beautiful Sirens? Submerge yourself in the world of ancient mythological sea creatures and design a mystifying sea creature of your own in this peculiar, unique art workshop. Learn how to thoroughly design an original character and create a detailed sculpture model based off of your character design, taking influence from legendary underwater mythological beings and monsters. Get ready to dive into the mystical realm of deep sea creatures!

织物探索  Thread by Thread

织物是我们生活中​必不可少的存在，它与时装、艺术、手工艺等都有各种联系，其形态也千变万化。在织物探索艺术工坊中，我们将一起花式玩转织物！从日本希博里靛蓝扎染工艺，到木板印花面料图案，在不同工艺的了解中获得学识乐趣。启迪新想法，亲自构想图案，通过探索织物的染色、色质、印刷等各类工艺技术，将图案展现在织物上，并亲手操作工艺，在织物的创意殿堂中的欢乐遨游！

Fashion, fibers, fabulous! Slide into the elegant world of fabrics in this lovely workshop and play with fabric through a variety of fun, fiber experiments. From traditional Japanese Shibori indigo dye-ing to vibrant fabric block prints, we will learn various ways to design original patterns and print your patterns onto fabric. Then, we will examine and explore the various ways in which fabrics can be used to determine which use would be best for your design, and, using your original fabrics, ultimately make a creative, beautiful fabric collage to take home!

自然印象  Imprinting Nature into Art

再也没有比亲近大自然更能获取灵感的了！自然界中的生物千千万万，有趣的昆虫，灵动的鸟类，奇异的植物，一起去细心观察他们吧！在自然印象艺术工坊中，一切能观察到的生物形态都能以绚丽奇幻的艺术形式生动表达出来。营员将通过有趣的学习方式了解各式各样的呈现技术，包括塑料泡沫雕刻、压印技术、彩墨印刷、软油毡雕刻、复印滚筒技术等。通过这些技术将自己构想的自然生物形象呈现为一个原创艺术作品。一起来寻找这份简单又令人着迷的自然之美吧！

What better way to learn about nature and printmaking than to work directly in the great outdoors! Try drawing passing insects, birds, plants, and more- observed directly from the environment- and turn them into colorful, fantastic relief prints in this class. We will create nature-inspired artworks while learning a variety of printing techniques, including carving simple styrofoam prints, hand-pressing, experimenting with printing inks, carving with soft linoleum, and using a brayer. Take this class for a fun, playful way to learn about printmaking and seek the simple beauty in the nature around us!

再生艺术  Recycle Art

继气候变暖、生物多样性减少等全球环境问题的出现，对地球的环境保护变得越来越重要，我们该怎么表达关于环境友好的创意呢？欢迎来到再生艺术工坊，营员将使​用回收材料去创造丰富多样的艺术作品！通过了解印度、日本、肯尼亚的不同时期的文明，欣赏来自墨西哥亡灵节、非洲部落的面具文化，从他们的面具和首饰制作特色中取得灵感，利用报纸、混凝纸、塑料瓶、串珠等回收材料，创作异想天开的面具作品，制作奇异别致的陶土珠串和坠饰。

In a world where taking care of the Earth becomes more and more important, how can we express our creative ideas while being environmentally friendly? In this workshop, we will explore the idea of making masks and jewelry using recycled materials and "trash", to create playful and dynamic works of art! We will also review how other parts of the world have interpreted mask-making and jewelry, from various time periods and civilizations such as ancient Egypt, historic Japan, and Kenya. Join this workshop to create whimsical paper-mache masks, quirky painted clay beads, and lovely recycled clay pendants!

桌游设计  Dice, Pieces, & Board Games Galore!

玩过风靡全球的大富翁吗？或是家喻户晓的飞行棋？好奇这些桌游是怎么被设计出来的吗？在桌游设计艺术工坊，营员将有机会自己亲自设计一套有趣的桌游作品！跟随导师的脚步一同探索时下流行的桌游，借鉴其设计流程、游戏机制、情景设置和素材设计等经验，激发创作灵感。通过设计平面构图、绘制布局、制作游戏材料来创建基本素材，构思游戏思路，设计游戏机制，最终完成自创的富有挑战而极具趣味的桌游作品！

Take a closer look into the world of game design, examining the mechanics and nitty-gritty of what makes games so exciting and appealing in world-class games like Monopoly and Sorry. Then, design your own original board game all the way from start to finish, from sketching out the components and game layouts to painting the board, constructing pieces, and designing an impressive box cover for your game. Gear up for this action-packed, fun-filled wild card of a workshop!

食彩斑斓  Natural Food Dyes

如果能从自然中获取华丽多彩的颜色，是不是比化学颜料更有魅力？在食彩斑斓艺术工坊，营员将学习运用对环境友好的方式创作美妙的绘画作品！通过奇特的原生态方式制作颜料，例如用甜菜根和菠菜纤维制作紫红色，再利用这些颜色创作绘制一幅水彩画或给一个可爱的公仔上色。这是一种与自然结合的新颖艺术，将带营员们更沉浸地感受大自然母亲的馈赠！

Who needs to buy paint and fabric dyes when you can make magnificent, colorful works of art with colors right from nature, without needing to buy a single new item? Ever think that the measly pile of food scraps and compost could be used to make a vibrant set of paints? Learn how to create beautiful art in an environmentally-sustainable manner in this exquisite class, from learning how to make rich burgundy watercolor paints with beet roots to dye-ing vivid green fibers with spinach. We will, of course, also get to use the amazing products we create to make stunning watercolor paintings and endearing fabric plushies to take home. 律动怪弹  Build to the Rhythm

准备好跟着节奏一起摇摆了吗？想亲手制作一个打击乐器吗？这个怪诞的律动艺术世界中，营员将了解古巴邦戈鼓、非洲葫芦铃等经典打击乐器文化，从中获取灵感，发挥想象力，勾绘出独一无二的乐器设计。利用各类回收材料，亲自制作一个独一无二的打击乐器，皮罐鼓、纸沙锤、纸箱鼓……装饰上生动的图案，在这个节奏的艺术世界中尽情展现自我！

Pluck, tap, rattle, bang, pop! Get ready to swing straight into the rhythm of music and art in this quirky art workshop. Taking inspiration from classic musical instruments such as Cuban bongos and African gourd shekeres, build and design percussion instruments of your own, such as leather tin can drums and paper mache maracas. Using various recycled materials, students can each customize their own project to their wishes and paint creative, vibrant patterns on each of their instruments. Let's get to groovin' to the beat and build some funky musical instruments!

梦想家园  Let's Design a Dream House!

每个人心中都有自己的梦想家园，你的是怎么样的？是玩具屋？树屋？洞穴？公寓？潜艇？在梦想家园艺术工坊中，营员可以亲手设计制作自己的梦想家园模型！营员们将从现实建筑设计作品中发散思维，构思设计并绘制理想草图，再通过使用硬纸板、黏土、瓶盖、线绳、泡沫板等材料，动手将设计图制作呈现为立体的家园模型，还可在模型上上色或绘制图案。这是一个集构思、设计、制作和绘画于一体的奇趣手作空间！

Imagine having a fantastic house where you could include and set up everything that you ever wanted inside. Is it a dollhouse? Treehouse? A cave, mansion, or submarine? In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to take that space and bring it to life! Make creative, original sketches of your own imagined place and gain a glimpse into the life of design and architecture. Then, build your own model of your dream house using a variety of materials, from cardboard, clay, and paper to bottle caps, twine, and foam-board! All that and more fun innovation, design, and color is involved in this unique, hands-on class.

捕光逐影  Photography from Scratch

摄影技术发展至今经历了很多次更新换代，历史上最早的摄影技术是怎么样的呢？传统摄影的曝光手法、光圈孔径、神秘暗房究竟是什么？在捕光逐影艺术工坊，营员将有机会学习最传统的摄影技术，探索更多奇妙的暗房照片。制作自己的针孔相机，通过拍摄产出底片，利用蓝晒印相工艺，借助自然光与相片的魔力反应，完成自己的摄影作品。快来神秘暗房，一起捕光逐影吧！

Photographic technology is constantly evolving and improving in an ever-so-digital modern world, but where and how did photography originate? What is the science involved with exposures, apertures, and camera obscuras in traditional photography? Learn more about the origins of photography and explore some fantastic, yet simple methods of creating darkroom images. Create and customize your own pinhole camera to create photo negatives, as well as create beautiful, blue cyanotype prints, all created simply by the magic of natural sunlight and paper! Join this workshop for an exciting snapshot into traditional darkroom photography.
