Activity Introduction
This is Me!
Campers grab a piece of paper and draw themselves on it. Not only that, but they put things on there that they think help define their identities. This can be things such as areas where they are from, or a cut out from a magazine of one of their favorite athletes or celebrities. Once they have finished creating this shrine to themselves, have them swap with other campers in the room and get them to compare differences and what they have in common.
Direct the Egg
Campers are split into two groups and each side is given an egg. Get them to ferry the egg across the room in the most interesting and creative way possible. Of course one technique could just simply be to pick up the egg and walk over the other side of designated area. But that's not the type of activity that should be expected in this activity. The campers can appoint their own leader in this task. Analyze the ways in which you choose to move this egg across the room. How many people do you get involved? Are you making sure everybody is made to feel useful?
Zoom
Campers sit in a circle, and each one is handed a simple photograph. The images don't really matter. To start, one of the campers begin telling a story, based on the image that he or she is holding. After one minute, say "freeze" and move on to the next student, who will then continue the story based on his or her own photograph, and so on. The greatest challenges will lie with the first camper, who'll need to create a solid introduction; and the last one, who's responsible for the conclusion.
